FAQ Motherhood

  • What services do you offer for mums?

All our services are proven to be beneficial in the postnatal period. Physiotherapy and Pilates can get you moving safely and happily. Psychology can help you be your best self. Massage feels good for the body and soul. Lactation consultants are feeding angels, who support you no matter how you feed your baby, Dieticians educate and motivate you. We all need good midwives in our lives.

  • Do you do a 6-week check?

Yes. Both our midwives and our physiotherapists offer 6-week checks. Our pelvic health physiotherapists recommend all our clients book an appointment when their baby is 6 weeks old to check their recovery and guide rehab - whether you had a vaginal or cesarean birth. Our midwives do a thorough and reassuring health check for both mum and baby.

  • How soon can I return to Pilates?

As soon as your physiotherapist gives you clearance to return to our clinical Pilates classes you can. This is normally from 6-weeks postpartum. You are able to attend on your own, or you can bring your baby to almost all the classes on the timetable.

  • Can I bring my baby?

Yes. You can bring your baby to all your appointments. You can also bring your baby to almost all the Pilates classes on the timetable (excluding the Mellow Pilates classes). Please note, most of our treatment rooms are upstairs. You can leave the pram in the designated “pram-parking bay” and carry bub up with you. We have bouncers available upstairs.

  • Is it ever "too late" to start?

No. The answer is clear: It is never too late to reach out for allied health support. When we do an initial appointment we can discuss your concerns and goals and go from there.

  • I'm not a mum, can I still come?

Yes, of course. We would love to have you at Hatched House, if you feel it is right for you. Visit our Inclusion page to find out more about our community.
