Senior Clinical Psychologist
Lorena is a warm and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist with a deep specialisation in perinatal mental health. She is passionate about supporting women through the full breadth of a woman's maternal and reproductive life, from preconception and fertility through to pregnancy, birth, and the profound identity shifts and challenges of the postpartum period.
Lorena is registered with AHPRA, holds a Master of Clinical Psychology, and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is a respected contributor to the psychology profession, serving in a leadership capacity with the APS Melbourne Branch Committee.
With experience spanning private practice, not-for-profit, inpatient, and community settings, Lorena has worked across the full spectrum of perinatal presentations and brings a grounded, nuanced approach to working with women at all levels of complexity.
Her clinical interests include:
Preconception and fertility related distress
Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
Adjustment to motherhood, matrescence, and parenting identity
Bonding difficulties and the parent-infant relationship
Lorena draws on evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Gottman Therapy, integrating a relational, whole-person approach to support meaningful and lasting change for women and their families.
Above all, Lorena is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where women feel truly seen and supported through one of the most significant transitions of their lives. She offers both face-to-face and Telehealth appointments and works with adults aged 18 years and older.
